"This event was turning point for our ministry," missionary Bill McDonald said.  "I feel that His perfect will was accomplished."

Miracles took place and the local church was blessed in Cuenca, Ecuador through HealthCare Ministries' medical evangelism this past April.  A team of 17 ministered to the medical, dental, and optical needs of the community while sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with every person who came to the clinic.  Out of 1,073 patients seen, 956 prayed the sinner's prayer.

Terry Lodge, who served in a support role with the team, saw firsthand why people are drawn to HCM's outreaches and expressed this when he said, "It is truly hope that draws people to the clinic."

Many miracles were witnessed during this 5-day outreach.  A man who suffered from Parkinson 's disease came to the clinic hoping to be helped.  Because of his tremors, it was difficult for him to walk a straight line without assistance.  Realizing nothing medically could be done for him, the team's physician who examined him prayed for his healing and salvation.  He was instantly able to walk without tremors!

He exclaimed "What did you do to me?"  He left that day receiving ultimate healing as he accepted Jesus Christ as
his Savior.

Another patient was healed from joint pain after being prayed for.  She returned to the clinic the next day able to walk without pain-something she had been unable to do before.

"This is an incredible endeavor, helping people with a real need and introducing them to Christ," Bill said.

Please continue to pray for the McDonalds as they work in this area to disciple the many new converts and for HCM as we have been invited to return to Ecuador to do another outreach there.
