HealthCare Ministries' health development department just returned from Mongolia after a two-week visit to hold health education seminars and to aid with a local church's community outreach.

HCM's Karen Herrera, RN, partnered with Assemblies of God missionaries Bob and Chrissy Godwin in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to teach a health foundations class at the AG Mongolian Bible School.  The class was also a pilot for a 2-week health curriculum that can be used in Bible schools.

Of an evening, Herrera held meetings with female pastors and pastors' wives in the Ulaanbaatar area.  The group of 20 women was formed to provide support for those who are in ministry.  They also discussed women's health issues.

In addition to classes and support groups, Herrera also helped hold the Women's Health Seminar with AG Hope Church.  The seminar lasted three days and about 124 women ranging from adolescents to seniors attended.  Those attending had the opportunity to submit questions they had regarding health issues.

The subject of divine healing was addressed the last day of the seminar and it was followed by prayer.  Herrera said that many women came to the altar and that God met them there.
