Please be in prayer for HealthCare Ministries as we prepare for a disaster assessment team to Myanmar where at least 78,000 lives were lost from Cyclone Nargis.  We have received word from the field office that at least 17 A/G churches have been destroyed and that several A/G families have lost their homes.  At least 50 churches are expected to have been destroyed in the isolated areas, and as many as 100,000 are estimated to have lost their lives after the 12-foot tidal surge struck the coast on May 3.  Because of the devastation, communication has been difficult, resulting in such a broad range of estimated loss.

HCM's disaster assessment team will arrive Friday to work with leaders on relief planning and water purification.   The Myanmar Assemblies of God has been aiding in the relief effort for their churches.  Please be in prayer for these relief efforts as well as the countless lives that have been affected by this disaster.
