| HCM is hosting the next Medical Evangelism Forum Sept. 17 – 19, 2008, in Springfield, Missouri. This forum will offer training for churches and/or individuals who are, or wish to be, involved in medical evangelism. |
| In addition to general sessions, there will be workshops specifically for churches who have never sent medical evangelism teams as well as churches that have been sending teams for years. Wherever you are in medical evangelism, there is a place for you at the forum. |
Topics that will be covered include:
- Vision and purpose of short-term medical evangelism teams
- Nuts and bolts of medical evangelism teams
- Roles of the local church and missionary
- Long-term impact of short-term trips
- Logistics
- Best practice

Pre-forum session -
The Role of the Nurse in International Medical Evangelism |
There will be a special training session prior to the forum, Sept. 15 - 16 for RNs concerning their role in international medical evangelism. Topics that will be covered are:
- RN Evaluator role in a clinic setting
- Tropical medicine
- HIV testing/counseling and other lab tests and treatments for use in a clinic setting
- Health education
