1. Host missionary must know the parameters of dental service (extractions and/or restorative) that will be provided before the team arrives. This will be helpful when advertising the clinic services.
  2. If only one dentist is on the team, the service should be extractions for relief of pain and long-term problems.
  3. If dispensing toothpaste and dental floss, a demonstration of use is imperative.
  4. Fluoride treatments must be given by a dental professional since fluoride can be poisonous if given incorrectly.
